Hanna Stamps Friday Challenge--Pumpkin Pie!

The Hanna Stamps Weekly challenge by Jeanne this week is to use Pumpkin Pie on the card.  My pumpkin pie is the label 4 behind the main Nurse Riley image  and of course one of the stripes in the dp is the same color.

The striped dp is from a halloween paper pack from the dollar bin at Target.  The green border is the outside edge of the Quikutz labels die, I think they make a cute outline.  The white are the smaller size of the same label die. 
The bat,  Trick or Treat bag,  and Trick or Treat sentiment are from the Trick or Treat mini set from Hanna Stamps last fall.  If you have time you should scoot on over to the Hanna Stamps weekly Challenge forum and play along.

I'm Back!!!

I am finally starting to feel a little more normal.  The swelling is going down therefore I am more comfortable.  I went to work today but only made it 3/12 hours.  I wll probably make most of my shift tomorrow.  TGIF

If you are a mother you have seen this little girl. Ella in Trouble, from Mo's Digital Pencil, wants to look as beautiful as mommy and Practice does make Perfect LOL.  Fortunately I really never had the make up problem, even with three daughters, but I had a Granddaughter who was a terror with the fingernail polish and lipstick.  At least now that she is old enough to wear makeup she does know how to apply it "perfectly"  :)

Just a quick post to say hi, I'm back, so expect posts much more frequently now. 

Friday is Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenge and I have a card ready, just waiting to post until tomorrow am. 

My daughter and her family is coming up from Kansas City Saturday to spend Halloween with her sister's family and her dad and I.  It has been a while since I have seen the kids and am very anxious to see them all. 

I have to go for now and get to bed because I do have to go to work tomorrow.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog Challenge #4

I was really excited when I saw that Sandy had chosen a fancy fold card for the theme of the challenge this week on Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.  I knew that I wanted to use Bismarck for this card too.  You know how you see an image and you know exactly what you want to make with it.  I love it when it turns out this nice!!!
This is a modified version of the Diagonal Double Pocket card tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers.
This card is finished size 6X6 and is made from one 12X12 double sided piece of EK Inspirations Eskimo Kisses card stock.  The tutorial uses an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of cs which gives you a standard size card.

I folded my cs in half both ways making 4 equal squares.  decide which side of the cs you want to be the front and lay that side up.  With the side you want up cut the left fold to the center point. (do not leave it short or cut it too far or it will not fold right) 
If you are going to make the card as I have made mine fold the lower right corner under with the point meeting the center .  Please ignore the fold on the lower left square.  This is my original test paper and I made a fold as if there was not going to be a front flap .

This picture shows step 1 the folds, only do the 2 folds making 4 equal squares.  Step 2 the cut of the left side fold from edge to center point.

This image shows the fold of the lower right corner going under and the fold of the upper left corner folded down 2 inches from the center fold and 2 inches up from the left side cut.

The left top square with the folded corner is now folded over the right top square.  The next photo will show the lower right square folded up over the top right square and your card is done, except for gluing it and addiing embelishments such as ribbon. or lace .

I admit that the double sided cardstock is much prettier than this test piece but I didn't want to waste a piece of expensive double sided cardstock if I wasn't as smart as I thought I was :)

To finish the card I attached the ribbon, You have to do this before you glue the edges down if you want it tucked under. 

I usually unfold the card and glue around the edges that are not the diagonal fold. You don't want to glue your pockets shut LOL

If you have folded and cut straight your card will close nicely.  The tags are just Quikutz Labels that I sponged around the edge with the same Worn Lipstick distress ink as I added to the Darling Scottie with the bone.

You can do basically the same thing to make any size card by cutting a square and the following the directions  I have made really cute gift cards using this fancy fold.

I hope that you enjoy this challenge and all of the beautiful fancy fold cards made by the rest of the DT.  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I needed to Color!!!

Okay, I am feeling a little sorry for myself tonight knowing what I have to do tomorrow, so I colored!!!

I love Bella and Bronte on the toboggan.  I think that the expression on Bronte is priceless, scared to death but wanting to be with his loving girl who includes him in everything that she does.  I tried to give him white knuckles LOL on his paws. 

I colored with copic markers and thought that hot pink and bright orange were very happy colors so that is what I chose for Bella's coat.  I used my single edge cutterBee to do the faux piercing around each layer.  I did the piercing on the oval manually.

The sentiment was stamped with my Just Rite 50pt. alphabet stamps.  I love that I can make my own sentiiments with Just Rite.

I don't know if you will be able to see the sparkly snow when you enlarge the card but it is there.  I also used a white gel pen to accentuate the fur on the brim of the stocking cap.

If you are feeling a little sad, worried, nervous or just want a smile....This card is for you too!

I have scheduled my Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge post for Thursday but I will have to play by ear when I can actually return to live postings.  I am hoping for Thurs or Friday but have no clue, it might be tomorrow night.

Think of me tomorrow at 2:00 Central Time and pray that the plastic surgeon has done this procedure a thousand times!!!

When I Grow Up, Dustin Pike dragon

I have had this cute dragon colored for a long time, and just never made it into a card.  I was cleaning off my desk tonight and jumped to the foreground demanding to be finished LOL.  The image is a free Wednesday download from Dustin Pike.

I knew all along exactly how I was going to finish it but just hadn't taken the time, shame on me :)  Better late than never.

This would be a perfect card for a little guy, they always seem to like dragons and firemen. 

The card was finished by using some red and white polka dot dp and kraft cs.  I sponged the main image with TH Vintage Photo distress ink. 

Sorry this is such a quick post tonight but I am trying to get projects completed and my area cleaned up before Tuesday.

I will try to have another project tomorrow but we will have to see if my time management skills stay intact.

I R smarter than I thought!!! LOL It happens...

I thought that Yippee 500 from Mo's Digital Pencil was apprioriate for having finally figured out how to make my photos capable of being enlarged when you double click them.  Some of you who have asked that the photos on my blog be capable of being enlarged for viewing by double clicking on them.  Now they are. 

After spending all day trying to figure out why they weren't I finally figured it out.  I had to change the settings on my camera and change the way that I edit my photos for upload too. 

From now on you will be able to view my photos larger by double clicking on them and I have edited the photos for Friday's Child and Saturday's Child so that you can view them larger.l

Today was a fun day.  My daughter and granddaughter, Bailey (2), came over for the day and we made diapers.  I am still not sure why she wants to do this but I was willing to assist as her contention is that my sewing machine and serger don't like her.  LOL 

I hope to get more coloring done tonight and a few cards assembled tomorrow.

So Yippee!!! I did it!  I hope you enjoy being able to view the photos larger if desired.

Saturday's Child for Saturday!

I was born on a Saturday so was anxious for Mo to complete the series, where is it written you always have to start the week with Sunday? LOL!

I think that I probably looked a lot like this when I was a young girl. I always wanted to live on a farm and have a horse but that didn't happen until I was grown and married.

This image, just like all of Mo's, was so much fun to color and I thought that the blue and beige checked dp was perfect for the Country look I was going for.

Hope you all have a great Saturday. I wanted to get this posted since I probably won't have time to post until later tonight or tomorrow.

I am trying to figure out how to have my images become larger if you click on it. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. The help section on here doesn't really help :)

Do you need a Chanuka Card?

Isn't Menorah Riley perfect for an informal Chanuka card. Menorah Riley is being offered for sale today at Hanna Stamps, and added bonus, he is on sale as well.
Chanuka begins on December 11 so never too soon to begin creating cards to send to your Jewish friends or family.
I found the dp at Archiver's a few weeks ago and thought it was perfect. The Star of David, and stars are raised embossed on the cs so I didn't have to do anything to pretty it up :).
Riley was colored with copics and the Menorah was colored with the Sukara Stardust glitter pen which added a really nice touch but made it really hard to photograph.
Hanna Stamps is having a huge sale right now so be sure to check it out the savings. Many stamp sets are 50% off.
I should be back tomorrow with another project but we'll see how productive I get to be :)

Friday's Child! Just in Time

Friday's Child is an image from the Child of the week images that Mo's Digital Pencil is creating. I really love them all but I haven't taken the time to get them colored as of yet, but I could't wait to do this one. I hope you like it as much as I do.....

I don't usually add anything to Mo's designs but I wanted to add a soft flower to the skirt of Friday's Childs ruffled dress.

I stamped a background flower stamps from Boho backgrounds, from SU a few years ago, and colored them with copic markers. All of the image was colored with copic markers as usual.
The outside edge of the image was sponged with Adirondak Juniper ink and I used my MS border punch for the edge. I laid a piece of coordinating pink paper below the punched border to offset it a little more. I only added the coordinating cs under the lower section of the main for no particular reason except I had that piece and liked the way it looked.
I punched two corner punches out and blued a pink bead on each one as well as two along the ends of the border.

Week #3 Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog project

This week the challenge, on the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog, was to make "Anything but a card" I decided to make a little BoBunny Love word book and put Jack and Ginger center stage. I had to take two pictures so that you could get a better idea of what it really looks like:

A card filled with Worm Wishes!

I know you are thinking that the title has a typo in it. Nope, I colored this adorable worm named Willie from Victoria Case. Isn't he just the cutest worm with glasses you have ever seen.

I spent hours coloring and blending (with copic markers) and having a ball with this image. Thank you so much Victoria for sending me this free image a couple of months ago. I truly appreciate that you did that I want to let everyone know what wonderful images you have.

Geisha Hanna and Save the Date

Tonight I have two cards for you. The first is Geisha Hanna . I love Asian themed cards and so I was very excited when Geisha Hanna was an October release set at Hanna Stamps. Isn't she pretty in purple and turquoise?

I had some gold cord and gold buttons that I thought looked like coins that I added to the right side of the card. There is also gold Copic Spica glitter pen all around the outside of the purple layers and in the corners of the white panels. I could have either shown you the gold dots or the shiny touches on the image itself so you got to see the shiny touches on the image :)

Hanna Stamps has been closed for inventory for a couple of weeks but they are open again and almost everything in the store is on sale. If there were any stamp sets that you really wanted but never got around to buying, now would be the time to get them while many are 50% off!

My next card is a Save the Date using the chef with the wedding cake from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Now, you know me and I wanted to call the card "What you mean the Wedding is OFF!!! in my best Italian, but I decided that it would be more universal if I did a Save the Date card.

The image was colored with copic markers and once again I had to use my new flowers that I really like the look of.

It would be so easy to easy to flip up the main image and place the wedding or anniversary celebration details on the green piece. It is merely tied at the top by ribbon which was tied through two holes punched with the crop a dile.

I am trying to be creative but I have been extremely tired for a while and the Dr. is running many tests to determine the cause. Plus the fact that I have a very large skin cancer on the bridge of my nose that appeared about a month ago and it growning rapidly. That will be removed on Oct. 27. Because of the size and location the surgery is being done by a plastic surgeon. Not the face lift I had in mind but.... LOL

If you don't hear from me for a couple of days next week just want you to know why.

Enjoying the Moonlight with a Friend!

I have had this darling snowman image from Mo's Digital Pencil for about a week and my vision was to create a night scene with moonshine in a forest spotlighting the snowman and his cardinal friend. I really like the way it turned out!

The snowman image was printed on GP white. The trees from the Tree Silhouette stamp set from GinaK Designs were stamped in London Fog Momento ink. I chose this ink as it has a greenish grey tone rather than black and lends itself well to giving a snowy distant visual image. The trees closest to the front were stamped with full ink and the ones in the distance were stamped one off before stamping on the paper so they look like they are in the distant night fog.

I randomly stamped the trees to create my forest and masked the snowman when necessary. The moon was a circle punch that was placed above the trees and outlined with E50 copic marker. The night sky was sponged in with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood distress ink using a jumbo dauber.

When using the dauber I apply in a twisting motion and try to insure that it is applies so as to not see any lines. The moon beam was masked with a scrap piece of cs and sponged the sky and misty effect with the darkest areas being in the distance.

The snow and highlights were added with a white gel pen and a Sukara Stardust clear gliter pen.

Hope you like my night scene which is one of my favorite scene effects to create. I know that I know what I did but if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. I don't always explain everything I should :)

Artful Sentiments by Kimm BT Copic Challenge

It is Saturday and that means Artful Sentiments by Kimm BT Copic Challenge. The colors this week are: Y15, YG06 and V06 Lucky me I had them all this week.

I don't think that Bronte the dog is very happy with his cat costume, do you? Bella reminds me of the reason that Halloween is my favorite holiday. Little kids are so happy and love dressing up and I love seeing them all have so much fun.

I hope you all have a great week-end. I hope to get some coloring done ahead but there is a Husker football game and it may be one of the last really nice week-ends so need to get my perenniels winterized, but we will see.

Friday, Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenge card

Yep, it is finally Friday and I not only look forward to this being the end of my work week but it is Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenge Day and I always look forward to that!

Sandra is our hostess this week and her challenge was to pick an obscure October Holiday and create a card for that holiday. I chose Adopt a Dog! I have always had a soft spot for dogs (well animals in general )and my first dog was a beagle named Taffy. The bassett in the Detective Hanna set is pretty close and so cute I used him. What do you think?

I colored the Detective Hanna dog with copic markers and cut it out leaving a small white border so that he didn't blend in too much into the green die cut label.

I used my new Quikutz label die that cuts a main label and a narrow border so I just layer both colors that I want to use in one cut. I used two different sizes of labels and really like the dimension it gives the card.

The sentiment is a doggie sentiment stamp set from Michaels and has a lot of cute dog related sentiments and bones, paw prints, and sentiments and I thought it worked well with this image and this challenge.

I added 3 of my new favorite embellishment, punched and molded flowers and 3 dew drops in the upper and lower corners.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Week 2

Wow, we had over 130 ladies participate in the first Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge last week. That is so awesome and the cards that the ladies made were so wonderful and proves how many ubber talented ladies there are in this group.

Here is my Fall limited embellishment card for Challenge Week 2 hosted by Sandy:

The challenge is to make a Fall themed card and only use two embellishments. If the challenge police are watching I am under arrest as I have 3 embellishments :)

One of the things that I loved to do as a child in the fall was rake leaves. I used to rake them into a house and make rooms or just into a pile to jump into. My kids carried on the tradition and now my grandkids love my huge maple tree in the front yard which offers the same raking party in the fall.

I colored the image with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distress ink. The maple leaves are a MS maple leaf punch and I sponged the edges. I used paint chips for the punched leaves instead of cs. The large maple leaf is a silk maple leaf purchased at Michaels. The Autumn brad was in a dollar bin pack at Target.

Happy Halloween Artistic Outpost Style

Today I have an Artistic Outpost Vintage Halloween card for you. It is a rather simple card but it symbolizes some of the things I love about my favorite holiday.

Isn't this cute? I love the pumpkins in the Vintage Halloween stamp set, they are happy pumpkins, not scarey. The tree, Halloween word, fence and pumpkins are all included in the stamp set.

The pumpkins were colored with copic markers and then all images were sponged with SU pumpkin pie ink and then soot distress ink.

I love these silk maple leaves that I bought at Michaels and thought they would add the perfect fall touch to this fun card. A spider and pumpkin brad and my card is ready to display for the Holiday!!!

Guest Designer for Digital Two for Tuesday Challenge site!

Guess who the Guest Designer is this week for the Digital Two for Tuesday Vintage Challenge Site? Oh, you are too smart. Yep it is Moi!!! I couldn't believe it when Cora asked me after only playing in the challenge a couple of times.

Cora sent me these two beautiful images to use for the challenge. Aren't they wonderful?

I really like the colors and layout on the inchie card. I have never made an inchie card before because I love to color and it is hard to color something that small :) I did color with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distress ink. I added some paper flowers and the outside border of the Quickutz Nesting label. I think they are nice to highlight a certain section of the images.

The second image could be used for a Birthday card or a Thinking of You card. I visualized it as a journal cover of Beauty hints and homeopathic remedies. Maybe a stretch but that is what I thought of.
I thought the dp that I found at Michaels looked like vintage powder room wallpaper so I thought it fit this image nicely.

I've been busy!

My first card is named "I dunno" and was created by Mo to introduce the FAQ section of her website, Mo's Digital Pencil. There are tutorials and it is the place to go to find out about different aspects of downloading and printing digi images. How to's and more to come as required :) Here is Bella and Bronte with the Idunno expression at it's best!


I know we have all seen this expression from our kids and grandkids, nieces or nephews, they all do it. We did it, our kids did it and their kids do it :) I thought all the question marks on the background would be perfect for this expression, don't you think so too!


On a more serious note, I created this Birthday card for a Friend using one of the new KLM Digital Designs images that were released on October 1. Check out all the wonderful images that were released on the first.



I reallly like the way that this turned out and it was so easy. I colored the cupcake and plate and cut it out and attached it to the friend panel at an angle. I thought this dp from Michaels was perfect for this color scheme. The flowers are made with flower punches and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

I did it!!! LOL

Yep, it is the little things in life that make me happy. Today it is the fact that I figured out, with no frustration, how to merge digital images in Photo Shop Elements 7. Now for some of you this may seem easy peasy but I am a hands on learner and the Help section of Photo Shop just wasn't as user friendly (dummies r us) as I needed. I was able to figure out how to do this and resize the pom pom's, layer them appropriately, and print without asking for any assistance. Made my day!!! Here is what I created:

The cheerleader image is available at Mo's Digital Pencil shop without the pom poms. The pom pom's are from Melanie Muenchinger's Sporty set and the words and number #1 are from her Just so Sporty stamp set from last year. I stamped the pom poms on white cs and scanned the image onto my computer where I could add and resize them using PhotoShop Elements 7.

I think it turned out pretty cute. I am planning to use this image for a Birthday Card for my oldest Granddaughter Ashlee, who will be 16 on November 3 and is a Varsity Cheerleader. I think that she will like it. Of course it will have to be in royal blue as they are the BlueJays and the school colors are blue and white.

I am trying to get some coloring done today so that I can make cards this week. Have a great rest of your week-end.

Artful Sentiments by Kimm BT Copic Challenge and Friday Hanna Stamps Challenge Card!

Today I have used a really cute Mo's Digital Pencil image "End of Summer" for the Artful Sentiments Copic Challenge. The colors we were supposed to use were YR18, G99, and E29. No problem this week I had them all :)

Don't you just love this image. I thought it turned out so cute with the fall colors. I created the flowers using a tutorial that Lisa Cook, fellow DT member of Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Team had on her blog last week.

I used some dp that came in a fall scrapbook paper pack at Target in the 1.00 bin. The Fiskars border punch added just a touch of elegance to the image and other than the ribbon and flowers I kept it pretty simple. I prefer to always make the image the focal point of the card.

I also have the Friday Hanna Stamps Weekly challenge project for you today. Cindy was the hostess of the challenge this week and it was to make a Halloween treat bag or topper or something treat package related.

I used my pillow box die cut from SU cut out of brown cs. I had colored this darling Goth Riley in Halloween colors and used an oval spellbinder die cut and Oval scalloped die cut to mount the Riley image on. I punched holes in the top and bottom of the oval to thread the orange ribbon through.

The Happy Halloween sentiment was created using a rectangle spellbinder die cut and then cutting it in half again to get the long narrow tag. I always try to find ways to use what I have to create what I want to make if I can.

Mo's little Cookie Monster freebie

Earlier this week Mo's Digital Pencil on Paper Craft Planet surpassed 400 members and when we reach these milestones Mo rewards the Group with a free image. This one is so cute....yeah I know they are all cute!!!

Louis is having a cookie snack after playing with his orange front end loader. Bronte thinks that he can sneak a lick of the cookie, yet that 's his tongue sticking out trying to snitch a bite. Can you believe that Mo always created such detailed images even for her free images. I even added cookie crumbs on Louis's mouth he he!

If you haven't been to Mo's Digital Pencil site you need to head over there. I don't just say that because I am on the DT, if I hadn't gotten chosen for the DT I would still be there. I can afford digital images and Mo creates daily and each one is more imspiring that the last one. It is almost impossible to pick a favorite design as each new one becomes a favorite :)

I will have another Mo's Digital Pencil design called End of Summer that I created for the Artful Sentiment Copic Challenge on Saturday so look for it tomorrow!!! I really like the way it turned out even if I do say so myself :)

Please excuse my crooked photo. I just got Photo Shop Elements 7 last week-end and have not used it to edit a photo before. I promise I will get better :)

This is a large stamp set which makes it perfect for creating scenes or scrapbook pages.

The images were colored with copic markers and I know it is hard to believe but I didn't sponge anything on this card "gasp". I know what's up with that!!!

I added a couple of scalloped circles under the sentiment tag because I wanted to add some paper flowers. Don't you just love these flowers? They are really easy to make

I thought that I loved crochet flowers but I think that I like these paper flowers even better. My friend and fellow DT member on several other current and past DT's Lisa Cook had a tutorial on her blog on how to create these flowers using the MS hydrangia punches. Well I didn't have those punches but I did have 3 other flower punches and and I applied the same techniques. You can find the tutorial here. Thanks Lisa :)

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog, First Challenge!!!

I am so excited to have been accepted as a Design Team Member for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog Team. The ladies that have discovered Mo's Digital Pencil recognize her amazing talent are so marvelously talented themselves. When she said she was going to have a DT I couldn't wait to apply. Didn't think I would have a chance, but I was so excited that I was chosen. Coloring does pay off!!!

Hanna Stamps Release Party new stamp reveal!

Tonight was my first Hanna Stamps Release Party as a DT member. I did much better keeping up with the forum pace, not great but better :) Here is a picture that I posted tonight but by the time the attachment loader finished the forum was two pages past my post , What can I say you can't fight technology!

This scrapbook cover showcases 4 of the stamps in the Detective Hanna set available for sale right now. Hanna Detective, the Bassett sleuth dog, the finger priint, and the question mark are all included in this wonderfully fun set.

The images were colored with copic markers and so much fun to color. I added metal corners for the scrapbook and the tag was a sticker form a Detective sticker and matching dp paper I got at my LSS by Creative Imaginations. The caution police tapes are from the sticker set too but you could do the same thing with yellow strips of cs and stamp the caution statements you want on it.

I just thought it would be cute for a kids scrapbook about things they "discover" in their search for "ME"

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog Design Team Image

Mo created this adorable Design Team image for the Challenge Blog Design Team that is going to be called the Bronte and Bella Challenge Blog Design Team.

I am going to admit that I have struggled with trying to resize images or create layered images like I want, my photo editing program just didn't do what I wanted. Sooo today I went out and bought PhotoShop Elements7 and I saved myself at least an hour of frustration accomplishing this printed image. I was so simple to use I just need to play with it more.

The image was colored with copic markers and I sponged the clouds in with Tim Holtz distressed ink using a scalloped circle punched circle as a mask.

This started out as a Doin the Happy Dance card but turned into I dream of Mo images.

Gotta go to bed so that I can get up and play again tomorrow. Bye for now.

Hanna Stamps Sketch Challenge World Card Making Day Card

Hanna Stamps is having a sketch challenge for their World Card Making Day challenge on SplitCoast Stampers site. I thought that Detective Riley would love to make his appearance as my challenge card and you get to see another peek of one of the new Riley's being offered at the Release Monday October 5.

Riley is soo smashingly handsome in his Super Sleuth attire, complete with distinguished pipe. The image was colored with copic markers and sponged around the outside edge with distress ink. The magnifying glass is covered with Crystal Effects.

The LSS had this darling dp that I thought would be perfect for my Detective Riley. I used some hemp twine and colored it black for my lower ribbon element. Spellbinders and Marvy punches for the circles and scalloped circles.

Sneak Peak 2 Hanna Stamps

Today I have created a very traditional card using the Hanna Stamps, Geisha Hanna accessory lantern stamps:

The lanterns were colored with copic markers to give the appearance of having a light glowing in the center. The fish windsock is always a delightful image to me.

I had some embossed gold textured origami paper that I had gotten at Michaels that I thought added quite a nice touch to the simplicity I wanted to maintain with this card.

The stitching is all done with gold metallic thread to try to accentuate the gold in the dp. I added the gold fan button for a bold splat of gold on the otherwise simple card. I added a gold metalic ribbon that I had in my ribbon stash.

Hanna Stamps Weekly Challenge and First Sneak Peek!

Yep, today is Friday and that means it's time for the Weekly Hanna Stamps Challenge. Silke is the hostess this week and she chose a sketch challenge for this week. Have I mentioned that I really like sketch challenges? LOL. Here is my card:

I also used this opportunity for my first sneak peek of the Hanna Stamps new release stamps that will be available after the Release Party on Monday October 5.

The stamps used on this little collage card are from the Detective Hanna Stamp set. Wait till you see the rest of them. The candlestick, watch and notebook are all separate stamps that I put together in this little grouping.

Be sure to head on over to the Weekly Challenge thread on Hanna Stamps forum on Splitcoast Stampers to participate in the weekly challenge.

There is also another day or two to participate in the Pre-release Challenge that is being hosted by Ilina to use Rust, Olive, Teal and a neutral on a card. The winner of this challenge will be announced at the Release Party and will win a 20.00 dollar gift certificate and may also choose one unmounted stamp of their choice.

Saturday is World Card Making Day and the DT will be participating. Check out Frances thread on the Hanna Stamp forum for more details.

Sunday October 4, will be the DT Blog Hop of new release stamps projects. There will be a winner of a Riley at each DT members blog for those leaving comments and a grand finale prize in celebration of the 2nd Anniversary of Hanna Stamps, which will be a 50.00 gift certificate. Coloring Does Pay Off!!! Chosen for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge DT

I have always loved to color and when I discovered copic markers they rekindled that love. Once again I have been rewarded for doing what I love. Maurie of Mo's Digital Pencil was having a DT call and if you saw the talent that flies around that website everyday you might wonder what possessed me to even apply, but I did.

Today I received an email from Mo asking if I was still interested in the Mo's Bronte and Bella Challenge DT ( I think that is the name). Of course I said YES, have you seen her site. She is one of the most awesome artists that I have ever had the priviledge of getting to color her images and they are digital so I can afford them.

Here is a free image that Mo so generously offered to her Paper Craft Planet members yesterday for their support in her frustration over discovering that a site from the Netherlands was selling her images (without permission).

The image is called "Looking for Clues" or my version,"I was framed"! If you are a member of either the Paper Craft Planet Mo's Digital Pencil group or her SNR group you can get this image free.

I used the black and white dp from the Digital Two for Tuesday Challenge so I guess this also qualifies as my second card Whoo Hoo!.
