A Distressing Challenge--Sassy Cheryl's --It's Tuesday!!!

No, the challenge for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog isn't distressing but we are supposed to use distressing!!!  You all know that I do a lot of distressing with inks and distressing tools so this was right up my alley :)  I chose the oh so cute Missing You  image to use:

This was such a fun challenge.  The image was colored with copic markers and the edges were distressed with Momento Potters Clay ink.
The main image was mounted on a piece of cs that had been punched around the edges with a MS double scalloped around the corner punch set.
The little butterfly in the upper left corner was embossed with a cuttlebug folder prior to being punched and sponged with the Potters Clay ink as well.
The rose flower was perfect for this card.  Lisa G. introduced the group regulars to  these beauties on a card she shared with us this week and was kind enough to share the tutorial link she followed.  The link to the tutorial is:

The paper circles were punched and distressed with my Heidi Swapp distressing tool .  A tiny punched flower was added to the smaller circle attached with a brad and the larger circles were also distressed and attached with a brad as well.

Are you ready for some exciting news about this week's challenge?  The DT is going to vote on the top three cards entered in the challenge.  The three chosen designers will get a special Sassy Cheryls blinky to proudly display on their blog.

How cool is that!!!  There will also be the usual random drawing for a gift certificate so be sure to play along.
Remember to follow the challenge rules posted on the right side of the Challenge blog to insure that your card doesn't get rejected :(

Thanks for stopping by and we can't wait to see what you create for the challenge.

Be sure to stop by the other DT members blogs and see what awesome creations they have for you.

Sassy Cheryl's has a bunch of new super cute images for you this week...

Lookie what I made......Beautiful Paper Roses

A little bit different post tonight.  I saw a card created by Lisa Godfrey over at Sassy Cheryl's Paper Craft Planet tonight and thought they were really cool.  Went to her blog and thought she might have been the creator and give instructions..No such luck but went back to the Sassy Cheryl's group to leave her a comment on her card and she had posted the link to the tutorial on how to make them...I was on my way..Here is what I created.
Can you believe that each of these roses was created using only one 3 1/2X 3 1/2 square of dp.  These are some of the most beautiful and realistic looking paper roses ever.  The only problem witih them would be that you could never mail the card you put them on as mine ended up being about an inch high.  I will try to make some smaller ones tomorrow but I wanted to show these to you.  I need to figure out my leaves to go with them but aren't they gorgeous?
Thanks Lisa for creating your beautiful card and for sharing the following link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7LlmDr9PGs

I plan to use the orange rose on my Sassy Cheryls' challenge card this week,

I had a busy week-end and was just feeling really lazy so didn't get much craft work done to show you.  I spent most of my time coloring and piddle farting around making these beautiful flowers, but it was fun.  I have to go to work tomorrow but the weathermen are telling us that it is supposed to be in the 70's this week.  I am so ready, just wish I looked better it spring/summer clothes.  You can hide a lot of faults under sweatshirts and sweaters :)

Thanks for stopping by.

This week I will have 3 challenges for you.  Tuesday will be Sassy Cheryl's Weekly challenge,  Riley and Company's bi-weekly Challenge with Silke as hostess this week, it's a sketch challenge.  Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.

Well, I am going to go to bed as I have to be at work at 11 tomorrow...

How about a couple of Sassy Cheryl's cards for ya!!!

Good Morning!!! I have a couple of Sassy Cheryl's cards to show you today.  Like I said last week I was not using copic markers for 2 days, which turned into 4 days.  I have a fun image called A Crabby Surprise that was watercolored here I call Hello?:

SU watercolor crayone were used to color this image.  If you look closely I had fun creating sand.  I always think that cards with crabs in them are cute. Does that mean I am crabby?  LOL maybe!!
I have had this fun dp forever.  It was a scrapbook pack from the Target dollar bin, I thought it was perfect for this image.

I have another card for you today as well,

This is such a cute image The frills,(this was Sassy Cheryl's freebie for surpassing 300 members on PCP) that could be used for a girls Birthday card or a friend your age that you want to send a fun birthday card to.  A thinking of you, or Remember when!!!  The possibilities are endless.  You have to be a member of the Sassy Cheryl's Paper Craft Planet group to be able to get this image, hey the price is right and we are a Really Fun Group LOL.
I thought turquoise and purple would be cute if i kept them on the lighter side, I think it turned out cute.
The purple dp card base is mounted on light turquoise. The patterned turquoise is from the Delightful paper pack from My Mind's Eye.
The main image was colored with copic markers, sponged with Broken China Tim Holtz distress ink and the rhinestones on the glasses were colored with a jelly roll silver glitter pen.
The sentiment was computer generated and attached under the purple ribbon that I dyed with SU ink refills.Prima flowers werre attached with large enamel brads and a purple button rounded out the upper left hand corner.
I have not had a very productive card making week, I have been still trying to find the right contacts that allow me to see all distances and Finally I think I have found the right pair.
Friday is my day off and I am going to take full advantage of it.  I am going to get my DT Challenge cards done ahead of time....are you believing this?  It could happen.

The weather is supposed to be nice and I am going to take advantage of that as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by, always love to have you!!!

My last week as hostess for Mo's Digital Challenge

Okay, stop cheering!!!.  This has been a lot of fun to host the challenges this month at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.  I really like to make different types of cards and use different techniques.  Thanks to all of you who played along.  I hope you all like sketch challenges.  I thought this was a pretty fun sketch, Peggy wanted to know what I was smoking?, but all the DT made gorgeous cards with it :P  Here is my yellow baby fairy Flora:

Don't you just love the three little baby fairies that Mo created last week.  They are just too cute to pass up, I didn't LOL.
I wanted to keep the colors soft so I chose yellow, a springy, sweet color.
The circle and scalloped circle are spellbinder die cuts.
The square yellow panel was overlaid with a white layer that was punched with a MS round the corner punch with tiny flowers.  Don't you just love the MS border punches?!?
The white background cs was a little too plain and I thought about using my baby cuttlebug embossing folder to add detail to it but may do that for another card.  Good excuse to use this darling image again!!
The three bands running horizontally at the top are cs strips, I thought about using ribbon as well.  Lots of possibilities,
The corners were finished with EKSuccess corner punches topped off with half pearls.
Two white Quikutz scrolls were added and Flora is ready to sit on my shelf to make me smile!!!

Be sure to check out the beautiful creations of the other DT members, it will be a worthwhile trip believe me.  They did especially GOOD!!!
Did you all realize that Mo's Digital Pencil on Paper Craft Planet went over 1200 members last week and Mo created the most gorgeous Alice In Wonderland rabbit called Late that I LOVE!!! You have to be a member of Mo's Digital Pencil group on PCP to get Late but it is easy to join and we are a really FUN group!!!  Mo is so generous with her freebies and theer are always new images so you will never run out.

Riley and Company Challenge--Relax

Good Morning Riley and Company fans!!!  Today I have a Riley and Company card created for Laurie's Challenge which this week is to create a pastel card.   Here is my Couch Potato  TVRiley relaxing on His Day!!! :

I think this is about as pastel as I could get with a masculine card, but I wanted to use the new Riley stamp.  Isn't this a perfect guy stamp, notice the remote control on the arm of the couch?  I also used the wood floor stamp which was re-released from the Riley and Company shop.  The brick wall is a must have too  :)

Be sure that you check out the rest of the DT cards, they are awesome.

It was sooo exciting to have so many of you stop by during the Blog Hop last week.  We love our Riley fans and you are gonna love the next release even more than you loved this one.

Lissa if you are reading this...I need your mailing address!!!

Have a great day.  Thanks for stopping by and take time to color today!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!!!

It's Tuesday, Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Tuesday , to be exact.  This week the challenge is to make an Easter card or 3-D item.  I chose to use the EasterBunny Snowman:

Since this image was watercolored it will be a little hard to see the detail without double clicking the image for a closeup look.  You can always do that with my images on my blog.
This darling Easter Bunny Snowman is just too cute and whimsical to not make you smile.  Perfect for any one to receive at Easter time.
The dp is from my stash and the flowers are Prima flowers and the buttons were from my stash of buttons.  The little circle paper clip in the upper right corner is the perfect ribbon holder.
Be sure that you check out what the other Sassy Gals (DT) have created, there are some totally awesome creations waiting for your viewing pleasure.
The Sassy Boss Lady Cheryl has been super busy creating new must have images for you so be sure you check out the store as well.

I will have a Riley and Company Challenge card for you later this morning.

My favorite watercolor image so far--Day 2 no copics!!!

I have really been having fun rekindling my love of other coloring techniques besides copic markers.  Oh, don't get me wrong I will be using my copics again in a day or two but for a few days and more regularly from now on I am enjoying all the techniques I love so much!  Here is Late, the recently offered freebie from Mo's Digital Pencil PaperCraftPlanet group for reaching another astounding milestone 1200 members!!!

The watercoloring was done with SU watercolor crayons.  I thought a vintage rabbit would look good with a faded brown shirt and green vest.  I like the way the colors look on the white rabbit.  The rabbit was watercolored only in the areas that would be shaded with greys and light blue.
Three colors of pink were used for the ears and nose.
Since I wanted to make the rabbit image the center of attention of the card I left the background mostly white to contrast the darker dp that I wanted to use.
I just loved this BoBunny dp that I picked up at the LSS .  I cut it on the diagonal which I topped with a length of heart shaped lace ribbon.
Flowers were punched from the BoBunny dp and  smaller flower was punched from a brown and green polka dot dp that coordinates with the brown/green striped dp.
The sentiment in the lower left corner says it all " So Sorry"  for being Late...
Don't you just love this awesome rabbit image.  Oh the possibilities!!!

Well, it is late, gotta get to bed.

I'm not using copic markers for 2 days !!!

I know you probably think that I am crazy, that is still up for debate...however, I have decided that I have been ignoring all of the other coloring techniques that I used to love to do.  My first project  using this darling Sassy Cheryl's  April Showers image, was created with the coloring technique of watercoloring with SU watercolor crayons and an aquapainter brush:
Isn't this the funniest Sassy Cheryl image?
I used to use my SU watercolor crayons all the time as I love the affect that they created.
I had so much fun with this and I have decided that it was so much fun that I would do a little fairy from Mo's Digital Pencil, called Yuriko the Fairy, with Koh-i-Nor colored pencils and OMS.

I really like this technique also.  The Koh-i-Nor colored pencils come in only 24 colors and I used a flesh color that I purchased separately from the set.  The colored pencils are blended with OMS and paper stumps.
I guess you will let me know if you think that I have lost my mind and should just use my copics and all will be right with the world but it is fun to do something a little different for a different look once in awhile :)

I have a darling card for you tomorrow using the new freebie from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Can you believe that Mo's Digital Pencil group has grown to over 1200 members?   The image is the cutest sad looking White rabbit from Alice in Wonderland who is distraught because he was late, very late for the very important date!!!

The white rabbit image was watercolored and so far it is my favorite, so be sure to stop back by.

Well my week-end is over and I have to go back to work on Sunday.  See you all tomorrow night.

Life's Too Short...Be a Fool!!!

Sassy Cheryl came up with this way too funny jester that I just had to color.  It has been a super busy week and this little guy just kind of sums up my sentiments!!!  Life's too Short...  What do you think?

You have got to check out Sassy Cheryl's newest images...they just keep getting better and better.  I can just see sending this darling jester to someone who needs a laugh...I don't care who you are this would make you smile :)
After a day near 70 degrees yesterday and today snow , yep the ground is covered again, what's up with that?????
This guy brought a smile to my heart today too.

I am hoping for a quiet day today as my Friday off was anything but....It seems that nobody thinks that when you have a day off that YOU might actually have something planned.

I have been trying to get new contacts that are working for me.  To me it seems redundent to have to wear reading glasses with contacts.  In this day and age there has got to be a pair that works.  I am blind as a bat reading but still have pretty near perfect vision for distance.  Three pairs of contacts later and I think that my awesome optomotrist has finally got the perfect pair for me.  I can read the computer perfectly and the printed digi images are no longer blurry...YIPPEEE.  Now I really don't have any more excuses LOL/

Have a great week-end everyone.

Hope you get some time to Color, I know I will.

Easy Peasy Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week!!!

It's Thursday, that means a new Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. I got the distinct impression that my last challenge wasn't as interesting to  you as it was to me LOL  This week the challenge should be more to your liking.  Use at least 3 punches on your card.  It can be a border punch, flower, bug, butterfly, circle, oval, square, scrolls, photo corners....the possibilties are endless.   Nesties and die cuts are allowed as there are a lot of nesties and die cuts that are very similiar to punches.  I actually used 5 punches and a flower die cut on my card:

(Look Ma no sponging LOL )
I absolutely Love Jack and Ginger this image is called Young Love.  I used a heart border punch, a scalloped edge punch, a lacey scalloped border punch all on the bottom.  The upper right corner layers were punched with a MS Round the corner corner punch.

The flower is a Sizzix flower with two EK Success 5 pedal flower punches.  A red heart brad in the center of the flower and Love stamped vertically and my punchy card is complete.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT cards and try to play along if you can. Grab out those punches and make flowers, borders , fancy corners and have a ball!!!

If you don't really follow the NCAA Basketball you might not realize that March Madness refers to the series of college basketball tournaments that make up the Final 4 games.  A big deal if you live in areas such as Kansas which is home to KU , Kansas JayHawks  or in the case of Nebraska we have the football Huskers but the Nebraska women have gone undefeated all season until last week-end and are top seed in the women's NCAA division.    To honor these teams we have Cheerleader Riley/Sophie to lead the teams to Victory!!!

Next I have Umbrella Riley and I for one am thrilled to see anything that has to do with rain after an endless winter of snow LOL:

I just love Umbrella Riley and decided to make him in springy happy colors.

There are 4 more Riley stamps and a re-release of the wood floor, brick wall, and the What Riley would Say Words stamps tonight.  As soon as the blog hop is under way the stamps will be available.

Be sure to leave a comment on each of the DT members blogs for a chance to win a new unmounted release stamp of your choice.  You will need to check back on Friday or Saturday for my winner announcement right here on my blog.  You will have 48 hours to let me know your email address so Tanya can send you your stamp.

Sassy Cheryl's Color Challenge

This week's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is a color challenge by our challenge hostess Tracey. The colors are orange, green, black and use glitter.  Here is what I created:

I Love Coffee and occassionally when I don't want a coffee I Love cappuccino, so when I saw this Sassy Cheryl's Cappuccino Snowman, I had to have it.. Okay, I know I saw that about all of the Sassy stamps but you know you do too.  LOL   Thought the sentiment was perfect  and cute so I had to use it.
I used orange, green, and black on the card and I did use a Sukara Stardust Glitter pen on the light rows of the scarf and the froth of the cappuccino but if you have ever tried to photograph glitter you know it likes to hide.  It may show up better when you double click on the image and get a closer look.
It was so much fun to see all of the wonderful cards you all created for last week's challenge.  We love that so many of you are playing along with us.  And don't forget that every week our Sassy Boss Lady, Cheryl gives away a 5 dollar gift certificate so the randomly drawn winner can pick out an image or two.
Be sure to check out all of the DT creations, they are wonderful, I can't believe the talent in this group of Sassy Gals.

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #2

Did you get a chance to check out the other DT members blogs yesterday and see all of the super cute stamps being released at Riley and Company?  Today I have the super cute Riley bunny image done Vintage style:

Maybe I am the only one that thought that Riley could be elegant but here you go.  I found this dp at my LSS and fell in love with it.  I used three of my favorite MS punches  to add the touches of elegance I was going for.
The lace with a strand of pearls really added a nice touch as did the pink sheer edged ribbon.
The edges of the punched pieces were sponged with SU rose red and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink for the color I wanted to blend with the dp.
The flowers were punched from the same dp and created using a modified version of Lisa Cook's flower tutorial. (I use different flower punches).  I love that I can create beautiful flowers that always match the papers. A trio of leaf sprigs using a MS punch and this vintage Riley card is ready to go.

Be sure to check out the awesome creations by the other DT members and don't forget to mark your calendars with the Riley and Company Blog Hop on Wednesday night at 9:00 pm CT.

A little later I will have the Sassy Cheryl's weekly Challenge card for you.  It is a super fun color challenge.

Riley and Company Sneak Peek #1

WooHoo, it is finally sneak peek day one for Riley and Company's March Madness release.  There are lots of darling new Riley and Sophie stamps and 3 stamps being re-released, how cool is that?  Here is the card I created using Basketball Riley dressed in JayHawk Blue:

When my two oldest daughters were in high school we lived in Kansas and if you live in Kansas it is hard not to become a Kansas JayHawk Basketball fan.  I thought it was totally appropriate for Riley to wear the colors and spout the cheer of the JayHawks since he and Sophie live in Kansas now. Kansas University was chosen as the top seed in their division for the playoffs leading up to the Final 4 which IS March Madness if you follow College basketball.
Riley was colored with copic markers and the March Madness sentiment was computer generated.  The RockChalk JayHawks was a free paper download online.
The new release stamps for Riley and Company this week are so darn cute I can't wait to show you all of them.  Also being re-released are the wood floor, brick wall, and  Moose words.  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT blogs to see what they have created today and check each day until after the Blog Hop on Wednesday night so be sure you don't miss any of the cute stamps.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop by tomorrow for another sneak peak of the Riley and Company new release.

Just Because!!!

I have been really busy the past couple of weeks with DT stuff that I can't show you yet :) but I decided that I wanted to color, just because I wanted to color, and chose Mo's Digital Pencil Savannah  on Easter to color.  Here is what I came up with:

I wanted a bright springy image so I used copic markers to color in shades of yellow and yellow-red.
I created the white lacy layer using my new Martha Stewart punch around the corner punch set that I just happened to have a 40% coupon for.
The yellow dp is from my stash .  The flower in the upper right corner is punched from the same dp .  The half pearls add a bit of elegance to the corners of the lacy punched border.
So my Just Because card is complete and now I have to get busy on finishing up with a jam packed week of new releases, blog hope and sneak peeks.  Be sure you stop back on Monday for the first of the Riley and Company sneak peeks, Tuesday will have the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge  and a Riley and Company sneak peek, Wednesday will have a Riley and Company sneak peek, The Artistic Outpost is releasing their newest stamp sets,  and at 9pm Central time the Riley and Company is having a Blog Hop of the new release images,  Thursday is Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge day, my 3rd week as hostess :),  Friday may be a day of rest LOL.

My Second Week as Hostess for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

First of all I want to thank everyone who participated in the challenge last week.  It was so much fun to see all of the different variances of Blue and Brown.  My challenge this week for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge is to create a card that is any shape except a rectangle, square or any shape that folds into a square or rectangle.  I used the monkey image, which makes me giggle every time I see it, for my onsie:

I created the template a couple of years ago when I couldn't find a template that I like.  The digital images are so perfect for the onsie as you can resize them so they fit perfectly.
The template prints perfectly on an 8 1/2 X 11 inch piece of cardstock and when folded it fits perfectly in an invitation envelope.

Isn't the little monkey just perfect on this?

The faux stitch lines are hand drawn.
The edges were sponged with Broken China Tim Holtz distress ink and I colored the monkey pants to match.
The baby buttons are from my stash.

Make sure that you check out the rest of the DT creations, they are awesome.

Some ideas to think of for any shape except rectangle or square would be: a house, dog house (for bronte), an egg, Circle, Cross, a purse, .......
I hope you all play along and I can't wait to see what you create :)  There is always a random drawing from the participants for a free Mo image.

I'm Late!!! Riley and Company Challenge for Tuesday URGHHHH!!!

No excuses I totally forgot about the Riley and Company Challenge this week.  I have been working on DT cards for the awesome release next week and spaced it off.  Okay, I'm blonde, I have to deal with it :)

The Challenge was to create something other than a card.  I was stumped a little by this as the rest of the DT had such awesome creations, but I thought a calendar page would be fun, Here is Detective Riley looking for Spring, what do you think:

I am kind of on a Turquoise kick right now so I colored Detective Riley accordingly and used this really cool dp from K&Co called Que Sera Sera I bought at Michael's
Riley was colored with copics and the border was sponged with Broken China Tim Holtz distress ink.  The calendar is printed from Cat's Calendar template available on SplitCoast Stampers.  Thank you so much for sharing the template every year :)
The flowers are combination of Lisa Cook's Geranium flowers and my new Sizzix flower die.
I thought Detective Riley could maybe find Spring for me here in Omaha during the month of March.

We would love for you to play along.  If you do and upload your card to SplitCoastStampers please use the keyword Riley0410 so we can find your card and leave you some love.  You can also post a link to your blog on the Riley and Company Challenge Blog

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations (I'm sure you have already been there and wondered where I was)

See you tomorrow for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge for which I am the hostess this month.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #2

Thanks to everybody who played in the First Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  It was awesome to have so many of you play along.  This week is just as much fun so be sure you play along with the sketch challenge created for our playing pleasure by Tracy.  Here is what I came up with:

This super cute image is called No Girls Allowed.  I added the wall behind the boy and the try-out flyer freehand.  I knew that I had gotten this cute basketball dp last year for some reason LOL.
I followed the sketch to a T.  Kind of unusual for me not to turn it or do something to make it look a little different (not intentional usually)
The basketballs were punched form the dp with a punch that was just a little larger than the bb and created kind of a cool border IMO.
I know that I colored the girls bb uniform pink and used burgandy dp but I didn't want to re-color the girl and wanted to use the dp.  I am either lazy or creative, take your pick, I'm going with creative :P

Sassy Cheryl, will be offering a 5.00 gift certificate to her store to the winner of the random drawing from the participants of the challenge.
Did you happen to pick up the darling freebie that Cheryl gave to the members of the PCP group when her membership hit 200, it is a super cute image, but then all of Sassy Cheryl's images are cute.
Just in case there was any doubt the image was colored with copic markers.
Be sure to check out the rest of the DT member blogs for their challenge cards and then go play with some of the awesome images and create a card for this sketch challenge!!!  Can't wait to see what you create.

I was just at Sassy Cheryl's Store and she has added a bunch of new absolutely must have stamps, be sure you check them out!!!

Newest freebie from Sassy Cheryl's

Sassy Cheryl's Paper Craft Planet group went over 200 members this week and Cheryl created this darling freebie for all of the members.  I couldn't wait to color it.   See:

Isn't this just the cutest card to welcome a new baby just a Here's your smile for the day card!!
The bear is colored with copics and then I used the dirty rag technique to add dark fur under the white gel pen fun.  Yep, It's official I love to mess creating detail, I just love to create detail. The socks and shorts were colored with copics as well.
The grassy area was sponged as was the sky.
How do you like the flower outline in the upper right hand corner.  I love to combine different size flowers to create a unique flower.  Well, when I was a Michael's the other day I was looking for a larger flower punch like the small one on the card.  I happened to see this Sizzix die and it was only 4 something and I had a 40% off coupon.  Well I didn't look as closely as I thought because I didn't know the petal centers were cut out as well, but it turns out I really like the flower that it creates.
I have company here, my oldest daughter and her girls came up to see their new cousin and nephew so we will be spending the day together tomorrow.  It's always fun when my girls get together.
I won't have much time to do much of anything next week except DT work as I have two releases in two days plus the Challenge teams, but I love it.  I'll try to create a couple of cards this week-end that aren't top secret  :)

I need to get to bed because we have a big busy day planned for tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by, Always love having you stop by.

Guess Who the Hostess is for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this month?

You are just too smart to know it was me!!!  I hope that I have chosen some fun challenges for you to play along with for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  I decided to make the first Challenge easy peasy so that you would get lulled into thinking that they would all be easy. LOL  We are so excited that so many of you are playing along with us so let's see what you can do with Blue and Brown with one neutral color:  Here is what I created:

I really like Blue and Brown together.  I thought this darling image of Bella and Bronte camping would be perfect.  Thanks Mo for creating it just in time for this challenge card.  You can find this image here.
The image was colored with copic markers and sponged with Tim Holtz distress ink.
I sewed the layers together and for the most part I got straight lines.  I added a Scalloped punch brown circle with a Happy Camper sentiment, compliiments of my friend Theresa's Happy Camper stamp set.
Did you happen to notice the cute little binocular button laying on the sleeping bag, did you think it was a bug?
I can't wait to see what everyone creates with Blue Brown and one neutral.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT members blogs, for their wonderful challenge cards!!!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to add your challenge card to Mr. Linky on the challenge blog for a chance to win a  Mo's Image.

Cute Mo's Digital Pencil --Melia Shell-Phone Mermaid

Melia on her Shell-phone from Mo's Digital Pencil  is too cute, don't you think:

I printed Melia on white cs and left enough room for the seascape I knew I wanted to use with her.  The seascape is from DogGone Stamps and a perfect compliment to the darling little mermaid.
The image was mounted on my new paper pack from K&Company called Que Sera Sera that I am sure you will be seeing a lot of :)
I used my favorite copic technique called gradiant where you blend the different marker colors seamlessly from lighter to darker.  It takes a little practice to not have the blending go outside the lines but I really like the look.
The seascape was stamped twice masking the mermaid to not get any overlapping of images. All images were colored with copic markers.
I wanted the edges to look somewhat like waves so I used my new wide scalloped MS punch.  The edges were sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink on the bottom and blue Bayou for the top and sides.
A white dotted swiss ribbon the right side and three blue dew drops to look like air bubbles created from talking on the cell phone and this little seascape is complete.
Hope you enjoyed my just because I had time to play card.  Those are always fun.
Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing you tomorrow

Sassy Cheryl's First Challenge

WooHoo Sassy Cheryl's DT is now in place and we are ready to start the weekly Challenges.  Are you ready?  Cheryl has created a couple of new images for the DT to use for this challenge and they are now available to you too.  Here is Bagpipe Patrick:

Bagpipe Patrick is such a fun image. Peggy Marsh, challenge hostess, chose green as the challenge this week.   Copic markers were used to color the image.  I thought it would be fun to make a tartan plaid kilt .  The shamrocks were outlined with my Copic Atyou green glitter pen.
I wanted a Shamrock for an embellishment and didn't have any nor could I find any I liked so I used my MS heart punch and made my own.  I punched 3 hearts and hand drew a stem.  I added crystal effects to the shamrock (doesn't show up in the photo) for a cool look.
The dp is from a Spring paper pack that I got a long time ago at JoAnn's but I thought it was perfect for Bagpipe Patrick!!
Here is a second card that fits the challenge criteria as well and gives you a perfect example of how fun Sassy Cheryl's images are.  Do you know anybody else who would have thought of an Easter Bunny Snowman?  I love it!!!

Now how fun is this image LOL.  Sassy Cheryl's has a whole collection of super fun snowmen.  I always keep my details rather simplistic to give the image the main focus of the card.  I had gotten this Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday dp at Michael's last week and while I didn't have a purpose for it when I bought it, I knew it would be perfect for this image after I got it colored.  I had a coupon for Michael's that I couldn't let go to waste and I had been wanting the large scallop border punch so it just happened to fall into my card.  I think it was a nice touch on this project. A pink sheer ribbon and another cute Sassy Cheryl card is ready to share.

Be sure that you check out the rest of the DT blogs ( listed on my sidebar)  to see their awesome creations, wow, what a talented bunch of ladies, you are going to be blown away, not sure how I slipped in but so happy I did!!!

We would love to have you play along with the challenges.  You could win a 15 dollar gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's (DUH) if the random.org generator picks your challenge card number from Mr. Linky.  This week will be a 15 dollar gift certificate and then every week the prize will be a 5 dollar gift certificate.

Sassy Cheryl's is celebrating her new DT and the beginning of her Challenge's by have a sale.  Everything in the store is being offered at 20% off from March 2 (today) to March 8.  Perfect chance to take advantage of the already reasonably priced images.  Your cart will be overflowing before you know it.

Cheryl adds new images to her store all the time, which is another reason I love Sassy Cheryl's.  I do a LOT of coloring and I want new stuff.  It really frustrates me when I go to a site to look for something new and I already have everything that I wanted already, that does not happen at Sassy Cheryl's because Cheryl is alway adding new images

Artistic Outpost - Serenity

Today I am forgetting that we still have too much snow and that the weather hasn't been warm enough to wash my car and I am showing you this bright simple card created with the wonderful Serenity stamp set from Artistic Outpost.

I love to send cards with just a beautiful sentiment and this particular sentiment is one of my favorite.  The layout of this card was kept fairly simple so the sentiment  and scrolls were the main focus of the card.
The green panel behind the sentiment is a paint chip with the corners punched out with the MS flower border/corner punch.  The faux stitch holes are white gel pen.
I really like the orange base cs this is a quarter of a 4 panel 12X12 sheet I purchased at Michaels.
The upper right hand corner needed a little interest so a sponged circle of cs was layered under the main image layers.
The brads were added to the circle for an added dimension.
The final touch was the orange paper flower with a brad center in the lower left corner.
Be sure to check out the wonderful vintage stamps at Artistic Outpost, I know you will be thrilled with the stamps and the reasonable price.

Not exactly sure what I am going to have for you tomorrow but you can be sure that it will be something.;  I have some DT work that I need to get caught up on.

Tuesday is the first Sassy Cheryl's Challenge so be sure to come back and check it out.

I am the hostess for the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog this month and I think that I have created some fun challenges, I guess we will see.
