Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Out of the Box!

My super talented GF, Ms Judy, is the hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and has chosen the theme Out of the Box!!! Love it...Here is what I created.  put on your shades, don't say you weren't warned:

OMG, I love Sassy Cheryl's images, they are so fun and who wouldn't smile when they received a card with this little sweetie on it?!?   The image, called Simple, Adorable Flower Girl. The  image was colored with copic markers but I left most of the dress white with just the red accents.  The image was cut out with spellbinders label dies and airbrushed while in the die. A second, one size larger die, was used to mount the first. The first image is my Out of the Box with both of the flowers being outside the outside border of the label.

I wanted to use red polka dot but might have gotten a tad carried away LOL...not sure, I like it.  I mounted the two label dies pieces on  the red polka dot which I then mounted on some red/pink/white striped.

A red polka dot flower with button center and some red/white bakers twine around the middle label and my Just Because card is done!!!

Be sure to check out the new images at Sassy Cheryl's and while you are at it check out the Tripp Fund Raiser Cheryl and some other talented and generous Artists have going right now.  The image are awesome and it is for a great cause.

Check out the DT cards and see what Out of the Box projects they came up with, I can't wait myself :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a week,  it has been a long time since that happened. Getting ready for my son's fiance's wedding shower this week end. Silly me didn't realize when I invited so many people from out of town(family) they would all come but need a place to stay LOL.  I am so excited all of my kids will be here and that hasn't happened for several years.  So I will be a little spuratic for a few weeks but I will pop in when I can, but I am not putting any added stress on myself until after the wedding.

Thanks for stopping by .

Hugs,
Cathy

Baby Gift Card--Sassy Cheryl's Challenge !!!

All right, the wonderful hostess this week for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is Kim, and haven't her challenges been wonderful?  The Challenge is to make a baby gift card holder.  Here is mine using Little Birdie Discussion:

Can't you just see all these chatty birds telling the whole world about the New Baby in the neighborhood.  I love to create little gift card holders using the metal gift boxes at Michaels. I usually cover the top and sides of top and it is perfect.
The image was colored with Copic markers and airbrushed with blue and green. The corners were ruonded with the SU corner rounder punch and mounted on a polka dot pastel layer also with rounded corners.
A band of black and white polka dot ribbon around the edge and a bow with pink button in the upper right corner and another band at the bottom with a pink button as well.
A Welcome Baby sentiment and my little gift box is ready for a new arrival.

Here are two other pictures to show the gift box better:

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations and the new images Sassy Cheryl's Store. They are adorable, as always!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Tag You're it--Mo's Digital Pencil challenge

Dawn has chosen the wonderful theme for Mo's Digital Pencil to put a tag on or make your card a tag.  I love tags but am not very good at them. Here is what I came up with:

I chose to use two Mo's images, Vintage Stove and Imperfection.  I thought the two went perfectly together, kind of looks like my kitchen efforts.  I never professed to be a Betty Crocker, cooking was/is a necessary evil LOL.
I colored the inages with copics and sponged with distress inks.  A little smokey swirl above the stove and under the tag to symbalize smoke...a couple of paper roses, a button and highlighted with bakers twine my, Do you love me anyway, card is done.

The sentiment was computer generated from a card I made for my dh when we were in college where i burned holes in a paper card and wrote, Nothing Says Lovin like Something from the over... he though it was dorky but I think he still has it somewhere LOL. Matter of fact he still thinks I am dorky.

Be sure to check out the DT cards and see all the gorgeous tags they came up with, you will love the variety.  As always one lucky winner will get a Mo's gift certificate.,

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge--Yep it's Tuesday!!!

Are you ready for an awesome Sassy Cheryl 'Challenge as chosen by our wonderful hostess Kim. Kim chose the Theme to make a Tent card with your favorite embellishments:

I haven't made a tent card for ages, so this was super fun for me.  It is so easy to make, just make the fold on top and not on the side..walla a Tent card!!!

This adorable Hope Lamb image was so fun to color. I though a Black Lamb would need more hope than a white lamb LOL.  I used a nice blue cs for my card base and cut the Sheep image with a spellbinder die and airbrushed the sky and grass before removing it from the die.  Because with digis I always color the image and then cut it out, I always have a fear I am going to go crazy with the airbrush or have a spastic moment and ruin the image.....hasn't happened yet,,but one day I know it will :)

I really wanted to use this awesome red and white polka dot ribbon so I made it work by coloring the HOPE in red and putting polka dots on it... :)

The bottom layer is a new adhesive K & CO matte pack I just got.  I thought the top white was a little too stark so I used a fine tip marker to add dots around the border and main image label.

Can't wait to see what you guys all create and be sure to check out the DT cards and most importantly check out the new images in Sassy Cheryl;s Store,  always adds to the store on Challenge day.

Always glad to see you here.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge--Recipe

Dawn has chosen the theme Recipe for the challenge this week for the Mo'sDigital Pencil Challenge.  My recipe is for a happy family...:

I love this sweet image which  depicts three important parts of my happy family. Grandma, kids and reading.  It doesn't get much better than that, does it?
The image was colored with copics and mounted on some dp from my stash.  The flowers were made from tissue paper and quiling roses which started out white and I airbrushed them to match the dp.  Yep, I can be thrifty LOL.
A string of pearls and a pretty bow and my Recipe for a happy family is complete.

Oh, the memories.
Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT cards.  There will be a huge beautiful variety for your viewing pleasure.

Be sure to check out the Mo's Digital pencil store to see all the new wonderful images she has been creating lately.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge-- Father's Day Card

The theme for the Sassy Chery's Challenge this week is a Father's Day card as chosen by our super talented Kim.  I may have stretched the theme a little but my father has been gone since I was 18, but I will always remember the wonderful man he was, so this card came to mind: Let me tell you about...My Dad!!!

Isn't this just the sweetest little Kitty Kat Chit Chat image, so perfect for so many occasions.
The image was colored and airbrushed with copic markers and mounted on top of an airbrushed brown doilie and brown polka dot dp.  I tied a bow and added a Heart charm to the upper left corner and stapled two ribbon accents to the sentiment tag. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a label spellbinder die.

Be sure to check out the Challenge cards by the DT, they are always awesome, play along for a chance to win a $5  Sassy Cheryl  gift certificate and be sure to check out the new images Sassy Cheryl always offers on Challenge day. I sneaked a peek and they are cute, cute, cute......

Just Inklined Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the June Just Inklined Blog Hop!!!  If you arrived here from Karen's blog you are in the right spot, if not you want to go back to our Hostess this month Debbie so you don't miss a single creation along your Hop!!!  Debbie has chosen the theme Flower Power and here you go:

Because I have a tractor that looks exactly like this on the farm where we have the horses, I had to color this new image, called Tractor,  for the Blog Hop. I added some barbwire across bottom to look like a fence and along the green layer.  The plaid dp is some that Jak has just offered on her blog and I thought it would be perfect for my masculine type card.

The flowers I made were cut from bandana dp with my cricut in sizes 2 in, 1.5 in, and 1 in. I then turned the cut flowers over on a green scrub pad and using the rounded end of a  paint brush I rubbed in cirular motion to break down and shape the petals.  I then turned them over and shaped the petals and curled the edges with my tweezers.

The cupcake wrap was reversed to lay the right way and encircle the lower corner of the tractor pic which of course was colored and airbrushed with copic markers.
The next stop along your Hop is the super talented Heidy, who will have a wonderful creation to show you for sure!!!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to checkout the new images which are just perfect for Father's Day, so go take a look at the Le Pashe store.

Hugs,
Cathy

Ready or Not---Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

aThe Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week is hosted by the awesome talented Dawn who chose a sketch for her theme.  Have I mentioned I love sketch challenges?  LOL  I think so , a couple of times!!! Here is my creation:

Isn't this just the cutest image called Aunt Flo, isn't she a hoot..  I think we all have an Aunt Flo LOL.  I colored the image with copic markers and airbrushed a little too lightly it appears in the photo :) with grey and blue trying for a photographer type background.  Here is the sketch we are to follow:

The sketch is easy to follow, not complicated at all with an oval which I cut out with my cricut as I didn't have a die that big and mounted Aunt Flo behind the oval which I outlined with some pretty white woven lace.  The center card band was created using a narrow band of grosgrain  ribbon and a top and bottom layer of lace.
A white bow atop a trio of beautiful roses and a pearl topped photo corner finish my portrait of Aunt Flo who always inspires the phrase, "Ready or Not, Here I Come"......

Be sure to stop by the Mo's Digital Pencil Store and check out all the new images which include a lot of beach images for your merging pleasure.  Lots of new kids and...go check it out, you will be glad you did.
The DT has some wonderful creations for this challenge so be sure to check out the Challenge Blog and our GD Debbie is participating so leave her a little love :)

Have a great day.
